Boston!

I'm sitting at my computer, listening to the Beachbody Summit Opening Session. I'm sad that I can't be there, but I'm very hopeful to go next year!

As promised, pictures from our trip to Boston!

We drove down on Friday. That evening we had dinner with a colleague of Casey's family business. His wife can cook amazingly well, and we had a great time with them.

Friday night, we drove a few minutes to our hotel room, to find that they had overbooked us, but had found us a room elsewhere, for free. So we drove there. I swear, none of the hotels believe in queen sized beds. Doubles alllll weekend. Ugh.

Saturday morning we drove in to Ikea. We spent a few hours browsing there, and picked up a Side Table for our kitchen, among other things. We went to a few more stores nearby, and then had lunch at Paneara Bread. My first time being there. It was yummy!

Downtown

After that, we checked into our hotel room for that night, went and parked at the train station, and took the train into the city. I had never driven on a train before, so it was pretty cool for me! We walked around downtown Boston for the afternoon/evening, and ate at Ned Devine's Pub. I had nachos which were massive and I couldn't even eat half of, which is saying something, because I can put away some food.

A TRAIN!

The next day we took the train back into the city, and even figured out how to do connections! That's pretty big for us! Casey and Caleb took the connection to Fenway, and Sable and I went back downtown to explore for the day. We pretty much went in every shop and looked at every vendor twice. We went down to see about going to the Aquarium but it was like 30$ Canadian, so we didn't go in.
Beautiful!

THE BEST!
That night we had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I'd never been there before, but it was yummy! The portions were crazy. I didn't even remotely watch what I ate on this trip, but I ordered from the 'skinny' menu because I wanted to be able to eat my cheesecake. I still couldn't eat the whole thing. After that we drove to Portland and spent the night there.

Drool.

Monday we did a bit of shopping at an outlet mall in Maine and then drove home. It was a good trip! I have been hiding in my house for 3 days since we got home though, too exhausted to go anywhere or do anything!

Also, I caught the golden snitch. 150 points for Hufflepuff.

    1. Oh man! I am SUCH a light sleeper, and Casey is such a crazy person (talking, walking, moving) when he sleeps, I would never sleep in a double! We upgraded to a king from a queen when we moved into our new house, and it was spectacular!
