1. I finally finished Harper's polka dot wall.

Seriously the easiest project ever but I just haven't had the time (or motivation) to finish it.

I cut all the circles out with my Silhouette Cameo and taped them for be wall. I told you, easiest project ever!

2. Casey did a great job of hiding all the cords from our TV. I will post about this more once I figure out what to put on my mantle.

He drilled holes in the wall behind the TV and fed the wires through. We have a little cubby hole in the entry way closet that lets us access behind the wall.

3. It's a little late, but we're currently experiencing Casey in full blown vacation searching mode. That's the best way to describe it anyway. Normally it happens gradually, and begins when we are on the plane home from our vacation, but this year we were a little traumatized by being delayed and stuck in the airport for so long that we didn't really talk about it. I normally have to have my vacation request for the next year in by April-May, but this year I'm only part time, and we never go during a busy time of year, so we didn't really book anything off.

Vacation mode includes discussing every possibility

of next years vacation/travel at every possibly moment. Getting texts about funny resorts (like seriously, who pays 15 000 for a week at a resort?) and finding options left open on the computer for when I get up.

I have a love/hate relationship with vacation mode. I love talking about it, but honestly, I have no idea where we should go. Personally, I'd love to spend a couple weeks and drive around England and Scotland, but Casey's not really there yet. He's more of the tour kind of person, so maybe a tour of Italy? Not really sure what our options for that would be, because I'm sure we'd be the youngest people on the tour, as we're already in the young bracket for taking cruises every year. Then there's the idea that I would like to relax on vacation, and I doubt either of those would be relaxing. But who am I kidding? We don't relax on cruises, we keep the itinerary in our pocket and race from one activity to another.

See the struggle?

I am very blessed though, to have a husband that shares my love of traveling, and who is probably the most fantastic budgeter in the world, so we can do this every year.

So far, we have a weekend booked at Universal Studios in October with friends and I'm totally pumped for that. Apparently they have a Halloween Horror night and that's RIGHT up my alley!

Post mountain climbing in St Kitts. Guy wants money to take photos on MY phone. Crappy photos at that.
Where do you like to vacation? Any suggestions? We've done an eastern and western Caribbean cruise travelling to Jamaica, Mexico, St Kitts, St Maarten, St Thomas, Haiti, and the Bahamas. We've been to the Bahamas and then to Mexico twice. We're not big on drinking, so as long as food is included, booze doesn't sway us either way.  We like to adventure and explore, and basically be busy, but I'm alright with reading by the pool too.

4. Anyone watch Game of Thrones? Anyone know what the frig is going on? Me either. I think from now on I'll have to pretend the book and the show are two completely separate entities. I keep thinking, 'They don't die in the books, so they're fine' and that keeps being wrong.
I hate you Stannis.

5. I finally feel like I've got my eating under control! I had a cheat night last night, and had a chicken Caesar salad and a piece of cake. I felt pretty crappy after the cake. There's a good reason that clean eating is the way to go!

  1. One of my absolute favorite places that I have ever been in Africa, but it's more expensive (plan tickets, ouch!). My hub isn't big on traveling, so I end up taking a lot of trips with friends or family. He like to travel big once or twice a year with some small stuff thrown in. I get antsy if I'm not in an airport every month :)

  3. My family did a Mediterranean Cruise and it was AMAZEBALLS. We had SUCH a good time on it. It was a great way for us to see Europe, but do it in a relaxing manner. TOTALLY recommend it. :) http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruises/11NightMediterraneanVeniceCruise-VI11M129?currencyCode=USD&sCruiseType=CO&sailDate=10%2F19%2F2015

I also did an Alaskan Cruise. Also, AMAZEBALLS. The scenery was just awesome and we really loved it.

  4. My husband I would be all over the drive around England/Scotland for two weeks. Just poking around seeing what we see - perfection! Of course, as I have said before I would feel the same way about exploring the Maritime Provinces. Good luck picking the perfect place :)

    1. P.S. GoT - that was just plain awful. There was/is just no way for Stannis to recover from that.
