Week 1 of The 21 Day Fix {&Weigh in Wednesday}

Good morning everyone! It's been a couple weeks since I've linked up for Weigh in Wednesday with Heather, Ash, and Erin. I had full intentions of doing so, but life got in the way. As we all know, that's what the holidays are like.

I had a fairly big gain over the 2 weeks I missed. 4.2 pounds. That's quite a bit for me. It is what it is though, and I've moved on. Last week I weighed in at 165.4 pounds.

Last week, I started the 21 Day Fix. I did a trial run a few weeks ago, to see what it would be like, but now I've been on the plan for a week, and I wanted to check in with what's happened for me!

First of all, here are my starting measurements:

Chest: 36.5 inches.
Right Arm: 12 inches.
Left Arm: 12 inches.
Waist: 39 inches (level at my belly button).
Hips: 43.5 inches.
Right Thigh: 24 inches.
Left Thigh: 24 inches.

Starting Weight: 165.4 pounds.

So, how have I felt on the program? Pretty darn good, actually! It's been a bit of a challenge, as I had some night shifts in there, but what's life without a challenge?

To be honest, some days I struggle to eat all of my containers, and other days (usually after a hockey night) I feel like I need more. I don't really need more, I actually have myself in a category above what it recommended for my weight due to my super active lifestyle and pulling double workouts 3 days a week.

At first, the idea of planning all of  your meals ahead of time, and making sure they fit into your container allowances seems pretty intimidating. It's really quite easy, after a few days. The first couple days, I planned everything and I mean everything. I was nervous I wouldn't be able to do it, but it really is best not to over think things.

So far, what works for me is eating every 3 hours or so. The last few days, I have been able to just write things out for the next day the night before. When I'm home, it's much easier to stick to, that's for sure, but it's not impossible at work, at all. For me, there are just more temptations at this time of year. Sweets are my weakness, so thank goodness for Shakeology!!

However, it would almost be better to plan a few days ahead, because then you know you need to have that stuff in the house. And, that way, you're not constantly thinking about it. If it's planned, you just do what it says.

Workouts have been good. I missed a couple due to my night shifts and being utterly exhausted, but I have done my best, and done double workouts some, because of hockey.

So after 1 week on the 21 Day Fix, I have lost 3.4 pounds. I'm super happy with this loss! So far, the 21 Day Fix is going really well, and it totally paying off!!

Height: 5'3"
Last Week: 165.4
This Week: 162.0
Change: -3.4 Pounds
Total Loss: 48 Pounds
