Fitness Friday

Hello everyone!

I'm on my way on a mini vacation until Monday. Casey and I are headed down to Maine to go to the Frighburg Fair and have some fun in North Conway. I'm very excited, and I've been anticipating this weekend for quite a while.

Along with the excitement of going on a little vacation, has come the stress of wondering what it's going to do to my weight. I always hope that I'm going to behave myself while I'm on vacation, but it almost never happens that way. I'm thinking there's going to be lots of eating, but probably lots of walking too. I'm still having some serious sugar cravings so I hope they get better soon, because I've been a hormonal sweet eating machine lately. No, I'm not pregnant.

So, I'm making some goals for myself and putting them on here as accountability.

1. Drink lots of water. At least 2 litres a day.

2. Snack on healthier choices during the day.

3. Allow myself to eat out at suppertime without guilt. I've got to enjoy myself, I should just do it at one meal, not every single one.

4. Run at least one time.

5. Walk MORE than 10 000 steps a day.

I hope that these goals can help keep me on track!!

As for my workouts this past week, I've done alright. I've been overtired from working a night shift and then going away on the first ferry. Yesterday I was so tired, I needed a nap, STAT. I actually napped too, which is saying something, coming from someone who can't sleep on a good day!

Friday I walked. Saturday I did a TurboFire 45 minute workout video. Sunday I walked after my 12 hour day shift. I was sore and tired. Monday I did PiYo lower body, and then worked a night shift. Tuesday was my sleep day but I did go for a nice walk. Wednesday I went for another walk after I got home from away, which included hills and even stairs! Yesterday I ran 5 Km, even though I REALLY didn't want to go. It felt good though, and I'm glad I went.

I only ran once this week, which I'm not super pumped about. I sort of wish I went one more time, and did one more workout video. I'm not sure what my workouts are going to look like this coming week. We shall see!

On a different note, I ordered P90! I'm so pumped! I have never been a super fit person, so I feel like P90 will be wonderful for me. Plus, there are just over 90 days left in the year, and only a few more after that until our cruise! I want to kill it these last few months of the year!

  1. Sounds like a good plan. I'm sure you will do great on your mini vacation. I am always so impressed by your walking. You are consistently at the top of my fitbit list.
