Weigh in Wednesday {&July Goals}

It's apparently Wednesday again already!? How does that keep happening?? Seriously, only like twenty something more of these and it'll be Christmas! Yikes!

So, as I do every Wednesday, I'm linking up with Heather, Ash, and Erin for Weigh in Wednesday!

I wanted to write myself some goals for the month of July, since I really enjoyed having them to look at for the month of June.

1. Drink at least 90 ounces of water a day.

I tried and failed to drink 3 litres of water a day for the month of June. I can almost always get 80 in, so I want to try and push myself to get 90 every day. Here's hoping! Although I lost track of what I drank yesterday. I don't think it would have been 90, though it was quite a bit.

2. Move for at least 30 minutes a day.

Not including work. But I am going to include just walks, because I feel like I need those as 'rest' days or I'll burn myself out.

I'm going to take part in a challenge via Instagram with Jess over at Operation Skinny Jeans.

I feel like this is going to be challenging for me, especially because I've got several 12 hour shifts coming up on my schedule. Plus lots of cupcake orders. Plus camping. We shall see. It'll be great once my PiYo workout arrives! #excited

3. Log at least 10 000 steps into my FitBit daily.

Duh. If I move for 30 mins, I shouldn't have any trouble getting 10 000 steps logged...right?

That's all I'm going to say as my real goals, but I am going to keep logging everything into MyFitnessPal (add me, I'm winterbenson), and continue to do the C25K program at least twice a week (but that will count towards moving for 30 mins every day).

Oh, I wanted to post my #transformationtuesday photo from this week too!

The left is probably what I would view as the worst photo of me ever. It was right when we got home from the hospital and I was still swollen and exhausted. It still took a long time for things to click after that. The right is yesterday at the Canada Day festivities! The difference between the two is probably right around 50 pounds. Yikes!

Weigh In Wednesday
So, moving on to my weigh in this week. I'm super happy to say I'm down 0.8 pounds this week! After a little gain last week, I'm very happy with this outcome. I'm just 0.6 away from my next big weight goal. If you remember, I do things in 5 pound goals, but I have these numbers in my head of big goals. I always try and reward myself every 5 pounds, but I do something a bit bigger for my big goals. I actually just decided on getting PiYo as this past 5 pound goal (which I hit in May...SO not on top of things), so I'm now trying to figure out what to do for myself for this one! Oh the possibilities!
How was your weigh in this week? Did you meet your goals?

  1. Go Winter! Your transformation pic is awesome...it's amazing the difference 50 pounds can make. And have you ever tried to lift something that is 50 pounds? It's CRAZY! Great loss this week too!

    1. Thanks! I try to make them achievable. We spent a lot of time in nursing school learning how to write goals. Hopefully it pays off!

  4. Way to go!

I also need to drink more water and move more. Drinking water = more bathroom breaks = getting up from my desk more during the day = moving more. Hmmm, maybe I am on to something here.

  7. You are doing great!! I am thinking I need to set a few goals for July...better hurry before the month is over. I have been eyeing some rings at the farmer's market that would be a good reward.
