Fitness Friday

I can't even really fathom that it's friday...that came around fast!

I'm writing my Fitness Friday post, even though ALG Uninterrupted is taking a week off from the linkup. You can still go check out her lovely blog!

So, this week I started in on a fitness challenge for the month of July with Jess over at Operation Skinny Jeans. It's on her Instagram if you want to go check her out too! I've been photo-documenting thirty minutes of exercise daily, and will be every. single. day for this whole month! Phew!! Time to start some good habits!

I've already had to get creative to get my 30 minutes in. Yesterday I worked a 12 hour shift, and stupidly didn't get up before work to go for a walk or anything, so after it slowed down at work, I set a timer and went to town. I did steps on a stool, crunches on the stretcher, speed walked up and down the halls, and pushed a patient around in a wheelchair while doing butt kicks (which she found hilarious!). Hey, at least I tried!

As for my running progress, I have gone for 2 longer runs and 2 easier ones. I actually walked/ran 5K on the two long runs. On the short ones, we just did 1 min run and one min walk because my friend is trying to get back into the program, and I'm totally happy doing some easier runs with her.

We've got a tropical storm heading our way, so I think the next couple of days are going to be terrible weather, so I may have to whip out my TurboFire and do that as an alternative to walking or running.

I've got a non scale victory from today too! I tried on a few old things that I had put away because they were too small. I fit into several things that I didn't know I did. Including this size 10 dress! Pumped! Last time I wore it? Casey's prom in 2007!

How was your week? Did you meet your fitness goals this week?
