Dear Bag of Chocolate Chips {& Weigh in Wednesday)

Dear Bag of Chocolate Chips,

I want you to know that I hate you. You're not even that delicious. I am sure you're laced with some kind of drug, because I keep shoving you down my throat. Why must you tempt me so? I could really just put you in some cookies, and I'd only eat two in a day, and be totally fine. Not the case. Apparently I want to eat you, subconsciously. My inner fatty is pretty pumped about your presence. Health conscious me is not so much. I'm not even inclined to eat the delicious cupcakes I made yesterday that are sitting on the cupboard, all ready to be eaten. I just want you, pure milk chocolate goodness in a resealable bag. Only you. Ok I don't hate you. Don't cry...shhhhhh...it's okay.

Thankfully for my waistline, you are reaching the end of your life. I just wish someone would relieve me of you before the end...so we don't have to say good bye. Preferably while I'm at work today. Seriously, they're in the kitchen cupboard. Take the peanut butter chipits too, please.

Sincerely,

Trying to be healthy Winter.

Now that that's out of my system, moving on to Weigh in Wednesday.

Obviously this week I haven't been super  healthy. I know I have a chocolate addiction. It's pretty clear. I really just need to not have milk chocolate in the house. It never ends well. Otherwise, I ate alright this week. Had a couple of higher calorie days, but went for lots of walks/runs, and ate healthy otherwise.

I've been working on my water intake too. I dug out the cup with the lid and straw that we got on our cruise, and I have to say, it sort of makes it easier to get more water in. I don't know what it is about the straw, but it makes me feel like I can drink more.

I'm very happy to report in down another 1.2 pounds! I'm very happy about this loss, despite the chocolate chips.

Linking up with Heather, Ash, and Erin for Weigh in Wednesday!

How was your week? Is your eating where you want it to be??

    1. Thanks! If I had access to delicious chocolate like dove, I would be addicted too...but alas, I live on a deserted island! I suppose that's not totally bad haha!

  2. Wow, what a great loss! I love chocolate, but I am a baked goods addict. I would be ALL OVER those cupcakes. :)

    1. Thanks! =) I am a baked goods addict, as long as it involves chocolate and if I didn't cook it. I find much more pleasure in cooking than eating my own stuff...its weird.

  3. Woohoo! Great loss! I can't have things like chocolate chips or nutella, especially nutella, in the house or I binge eat them. At least you're not eating the entire bag in one sitting :)

I'm glad that we don't have things like that here! Living in Canada and in the middle of the ocean has its benefits I guess!

  6. Awesome loss!

I ALMOST bought chocolate chips last night at the grocery store (I can use them in power protein balls, I said) but really I knew I would end up shoveling in my mouth by the handful. Chocolate = all the yums!

    1. Thanks!

I have to have a new rule...only buy them when I'm going to bring them directly home to bake. Sigh. Oh well!

  7. Woohoo!!! 1.2 pounds is freaking awesome :) Yeah, I am very careful now about what I keep at our place, but then I am also very willing to go and get what I am craving if I really want it.

  8. That's awesome!! To have a decent loss while slipping up a bit means that you're doing a lot of things right! Don't give yourself a hard time over the slip-ups because you're obviously doing great otherwise!

    1. Thank you! I do try hard for the most part, so I think it pays off some! I just wish I had a bit more self control when it came to that sort of thing...

  9. Oh those damn chocolate chips! You get rid of everything unhealthy, but keep a few baking items. Even though they aren't that good or what you are craving, they still call to you. Drives me crazy.

  10. You are SO right. Those chocolate chips aren't even good, but if they're all I have in the house, I'll eat them!! Even the semi-sweet ones!
    Great loss :)
