Island Life {Weekly Recap}

{Monday}

We started the day with a walk to the beach and back. During nap time I made cupcakes for my moms birthday. After lunch we ran errands with my mom.

For supper I had my mother and my grandmother over for supper to celebrate my moms birthday. We had BBQ and cupcakes.

{Tuesday}

We went for a walk in the morning. After naptime I took Harper up to have a lunch date with Casey. After lunch we went to run a couple of errands for my mom. We went to the park in between.

I did some yard work during naptime and then made supper.

After supper I went for my C25K week 3 day 2 run, and I'm happy to report that I actually ran for both of the 3 minute intervals this time, and also ran the remaining one minute at the end, even though I didn't need to! I'm terrified for next week though! 5 min intervals!! '

{Wednesday}

I worked all day. It was a long and tiring day, because I didn't sleep well the night before. After work Harper and I had pancakes for supper, and then I took her in the stroller and took the dogs for a walk to the beach and back.

When we got back, Casey was outside, setting up her new slide/swing that she got from my dad and stepmother for her birthday. She loves it, and will push herself down the slide! Daredevil!

When we were about to go inside, she tripped and fell onto the pavement and hit her lip. It bled a bit, but as I was inspecting it to make sure her teeth were okay, I found that she has a tied upper frenulum. I can't believe I've never noticed it before! I decided that I'm going to find a pediactric dentist if I can and have them look at her. I'd like for her to have nice teeth, and I'm not sure that will happen with this frenulum all the way between her two front teeth.

{Thrusday}

After work, Harper and I had dinner together. She ate really well, thankfully. We played some, and then she went with my aunt for a bit so I could go for my run. I was able to run the full 3 minutes both times again, but I have to say, I haven't got a clue how I'm going to make it to 5! After that it was bedtime, and my time to clean and get caught up on things. Not a very exciting day!

{Friday}

I worked again until 4:30. When I got home, Harper and I had supper. Once Casey got home, we all went for a walk. Afterwards, we played outside with Harper for a bit. Not a super exciting day, but still good.

{Saturday}

Worked all day again. Harper went to my dad and stepmoms for the day, and they called to see if they could keep her until bedtime. Casey and I had supper with his mom, and then somehow, I'm not sure how, I convinced him to go for a run with me!

It was Week 4 day 1 and I was terrified about running 5 mins straight, since I can just barely keep myself going for 3 minutes. So we went, in the rain, and the longest I was able to go was 3 mins 15 seconds. On the way home, Casey was looking ahead in the app, and next week apparently gets realllly crazy with the increases in times running. It's not easing into it at all. I'm really not sure what to do. I guess I have 2 choices. Download another app and see if that one is a little more normal. Or, repeat this week again, and repeat the days in week 5 too. I haven't decided yet.

After picking up Harper we dropped her and Casey off at his parents and I whipped up some cupcakes. Then I went up and we played settlers. When we got home I frosted the cupcakes and went to bed.

{Sunday}

I got called in to work a bit early, and we had a busy day. Harper stayed with Casey and Casey's mom for the day. Casey actually did all the food prep for supper, because I just needed to sit and rest for a bit. Afterwards, we went up to get Harper, and then decided to take her to the pool for a quick swim. It was really warm, and we had fun.

After Harper went to bed, Sheryl and I went for a walk to the end of the road and back. I miss seeing Sheryl, so it's nice to go for a walk together.

  1. What a busy week! Harper is just precious!

    Have you checked out Katie's "5K Plan for People who Hate to Run" @ Runs for Cookies? http://www.runsforcookies.com/2012/11/on-starting-to-run-and-running-faster.html (it's down near the bottom of the post). She tried the couch to 5k and it was too hard for her (too hard for me too!)...maybe this is more feasible. I haven't tried it myself, but have thought about it.
