Weigh in Wednesday

Linking up with Heather & Ash for Weigh in Wednesday! The day that keeps me accountable like I never thought it would!

Now that I've had my FitBit for almost 2 weeks, I've really come to see how much movement it really takes to reach 10 000 steps every day. At work I don't have too much trouble achieving that daily goal, but when I'm off for my long stretch, I can see how difficult it can be when you're not necessarily doing a ton.

Sunday is usually our lazy day. So this past Sunday, when noontime rolled around, I checked my progress. Not even 20%. After I put Harper down for her afternoon nap, instead of having a nap myself, like I wanted to, I got moving. I finished a cupcake order and did some cleaning and organizing. After supper we went for a walk as a family. It was after that I finally got to 900 steps. I made sure to do a bit of tidying to get my last 100 in.

I'm really loving this gadget so far!

So, on to Weigh in Wednesday.

This week I'm happy to say I'm down 1.8 lbs. I couldn't be happier, really. I didn't eat super well, but I did get my butt in gear and move.

Heck, I actually went running this week! So, all you Weigh in Wednesday ladies who have been posting about your runs, you've inspired me to finally get moving.

One of my goals for the year, way back when I wrote them in the new year, was to run a 5K this year. I'd love to be able to do the Run or Dye or the Colour Run this summer. I want to just suck it up and sign up and pay. Maybe that will get me past week 3 of C25K, where I always give up.

On my run last night and the one before that, I had a problem. I couldn't run 10 steps without my yoga pants falling down too far! I guess I'm not too upset about that! I'm going to have to find something else to run in! Picture me running (ok more like fast jogging) down the road holding my pants up, and trying to wrangle my dog. Classy right?! Haha!

Sorry, not sorry!

How did you do weight wise this week?

Do you run? How do you stay motivated when it sucks really bad?

    1. Thank you :) I have to decide between Run or Dye and The Colour Run. I'm not sure what one I want to do, but registration doesn't open for the Colour run until the 25th, so I have some time to decide.

  7. Great loss! So happy for you!

I love it when my clothes get too big! I just cleaned out my closet. Some stuff was too big, so it got to go! And other things that had gotten too small, made their way back to my dresser. I put on a pair of shorts from last summer, expecting them to be tight. I was going to use them as motivation to really work hard, but they fit! They're still a size larger than I used to wear, but I as SO happy.

  9. lol, I went walking this morning and was having the same issue with my pants. I am trying to literally hang on to my current clothes until my dietbet.com challenge ends in October. We shall see. I just keep reminding myself on the non-motivated days that I am going to want it again, and I will be sad if I have to lose the same weight again. Plus I make sure on those days to include in some indulgences that fit with in my calorie range. this makes me mentally feel like I am not deprived.

  10. I did a color run last fall--It was fun! Not sure if I'd do another one--I don't love to run yet. I do it because I need to, but I LOVE to zumba:) Great loss this week!! Seems like that fit bit is working!!! Keep it up!
