5 on Friday

Linking up again for 5 on Friday!

I always try to start this post early in the week but that doesn't always happen. Kinda like I always try to go to bed early. That doesn't always happen either.

{ONE}

I've been busy busy busy crafting and preparing for Harper's birthday. I planned it for the 22nd, but so many people were going to be away, I decided to change it to March 1st. We'll have to have a little party with my family who are going south before they go. I'm hoping it works out better this way!

Some decorations

T-Shirt for the party

{TWO}

I have been trying to keep myself motivated to lose weight by treating myself to something every 5 lbs I lose. I got down past my last 5 lbs last week and I pondered for a long time what I was going to get myself as a reward. I posted on a previous 5 on Friday post that I was going to get a cute Kiki la'rue top, but shipping to Canada is like 20$. So, when I went to the city this weekend I got myself a cute shirt, similar to the one I wanted from Kiki la'rue from old navy instead. The best part was that it was on sale! Now I'll have something to wear to Harper's birthday party and Megan's wedding.

My new shirt, (and my cute baby girl) even though you can't see it well.

I absolutely love how Harper LOVES Thor. He comes and sits on the floor with her when she's playing. When she comes into a room and sees him, she says "Gege!" And then crawls over to him. It's adorable! She's gentle with him, after a little reminding, and he is SO good with her. If he gets annoyed, he leaves the room. No problem! Love it!!

{FOUR}

I made this skirt from a DIY pin on Pinterest. I must say, the DIY pin was NOT helpful at all. It gave me what the skirt should look like, but honestly, that's it! Thank goodness for my mom! She helped me make it. It's not perfect, but it'll do for the party!

{FIVE}

I am seriously loving hockey. I feel like I'm really starting to understand where to be and what to do. I'm sure I look like a total dork out there, but I have a blast and love it. I guess that's what matters right? Anyway, this is last night's scrimmage, when our team only had 1 sub. Not too shabby, eh? I'm also loving the Polar FT4! It's really nice to have accurate readings! If I went into MyFitnessPal and entered in that I did 70 minutes of ice hockey, it would say I burned over 1000 calories! That's a pretty big difference from what I actually burned! If you've been thinking of getting one, I recommend it! Just don't be like me and forget to wear it! ;)
