Baby Banana-Oatmeal Bites
A friend gave me this recipe and I have made it twice so far (whenever I have ripe bananas) and Harper loves it. I was asked about it so I thought I'd put it up on here to share! So, as a disclaimer, I didn't come up with this recipe.
2 Ripe Bananas
1/2 Cup Quick Oats
1/4 Cup Milk/Almond Milk
Dash of Cinnamon
Mix all ingredients well and drop into mini muffin tins.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
I've substituted cinnamon for pumpkin pie spice, since I didn't have any cinnamon this time around. Still good!
She couldn't wait until I took the picture =) |

I'm going to make these for myself! :) They look delicious!
ReplyDeletePS, Harper is adorable.
I'll have to make these for Clay soon. I've been searching for homemade snacks to give him!
ReplyDeleteOh awesome! I am going to try these, I bet the kids will love them!
ReplyDeletelove this! Definitely going to try :)
ReplyDeleteI found this recipe on Pinterest and couldn't wait to try it. I don't have a mini muffin pan, so I added 0.5 cups of whole wheat flour and dropped the batter by the spoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. Baked for 9 minutes and they turned out perfectly! I also used regular rolled oats (not quick cooking). Thanks for sharing the recipe! My one year old loves them :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley, I followed your suggestion and they turned out crunchy on the outside and mushy on the inside. Is that the right texture? I never bake so I have no idea if I did it right. Thank you!
DeleteMaking these in tiny muffin tins and can't wait for my little one to try them! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeletecan you freeze these? or do you store them in the refrigerator?
ReplyDeleteI made these this morning. I followed your recipe exactly except I added a little bit of vanilla extract. I'm happy with how they came out! I know my 8 month old baby girl will really like them and so will my 2.5 year old son. These muffins were so simple! I'm definitely going to make these over and over again!!
ReplyDeleteHello there, I made these muffins and added half a cup of ww flour. Left them 15 minutes in the oven. They are crunchy on the outside and mushy on the inside. Is that the right texture or should I have cooked the longer? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMine turned out the same way, I'm not sure if that is correct or not.
DeleteHow old should your baby be to eat this ? I have a 9 month baby with 2 teeth who rather have finger food than her puréed food. However I was concern since it had milk as an ingredient.
ReplyDeleteI used Almond milk instead of cows!!
DeleteMy bub is 10 months and 6 teeth and will not take anything off a spoon. I hoping they will be perfect self feeding. I used Almond milk instead of cows milk!! They are in the oven right now and they smell DELICIOUS!!! Can not wait to try them.
ReplyDeleteI use formula instead of milk and have added very finely chopped carrots plus 1-2 ice-cubes of pureed pumpkin and they still come out great. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI know this sounds weird but my LO is EBF, do you think you could substitute breast milk for the regular?
ReplyDeleteMy son goes crazy for these! He refuses to eat any veggies no matter what I try to hide them in but I shredded up some spinach into these and he devoured them! I make double batches of these all the time.

ReplyDeleteI made these for my little boy about a week ago and he LOVES them. I tossed some chickpeas into my ninja and blended them up really well and then I followed the recipe as listed. It was a little too liquidy so I added about a quarter cup of flour and some cinnamon and they are great! I think these will be a regular in our house.
