Weigh In Wednesday - Two Weeks Worth

I had full intentions of writing a blog post last week, but Saturday morning I woke up and I was sick! Harper had been sick since the night before and I clearly caught whatever she had. So, between Saturday morning and Wednesday morning, I had lost 5 pounds!

I was sort of happy about that, except for the fact that I was completely dehydrated and couldn't seem to rehydrate myself, no matter how much I drank. I'll spare you the details. You're welcome.

So, last Wednesday I finally decided that I needed help so I went up to the hospital. I got IV fluids and a bit of potassium. I must say, I had some potassium on my IV and I have a much better idea of what it feels like when I give it to my patients. I always start it off slow and go up by short increments until they can feel it, then turn it back. That stuff hurts!!! Anyway, since the IV route didn't go well, I had some liquid stuff to drink. Yuck! But, it was better than the IV!

The next day, I was quite a bit better, and by Friday I was completely better. Thank goodness! I got on the scale on Friday, since is been rehydrated and eating normally, and I was down 2 pounds. I was happy with that! (Though it would have been nice to keep the 5 lbs off, I won't complain).

This past weekend, I have to admit that my eating was not great. Saturday I hosted a Steeped Tea party and I made peanut butter squares and a lemon blueberry cake, and I had more than my fair share of those over the weekend!

On monday I got back on track (not that I was super off track), and have been ever since. Even survived a trip to the city yesterday without eating fast food and junk! Yay!

So, this week my weight loss total is 1.6 lbs down!

That's 2 from last week and 1.6 from this week! A total of 5 lbs for this month so far, and I'm almost at my diet bet goal! I reallllly hope I can make it!!

Oh, and I wanted to point out this photo. If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably seen it, but it's a brand new elastic from a package I bought a couple months ago. When I bought them, if I put one on my wrist, it would cut in and be uncomfortable, and I would have to take it off. Not anymore! I wore this all day and it didn't bother me once!

    1. I actually normally gain weight when I'm sick, because I eat chicken noodle soup (SALTY!!) and salted top soda crackers, ice cream, milkshakes, popsicles, and whatever else I crave. Not this time...I didn't want to eat one thing...I hope you're feeling better, AND get to keep the weight off too! Thanks for stopping by!

  8. I'm close to my dietbet goal for this month also :) I've never heard of the brand Steeped Tea. What is your favorite flavor?

    1. Awesome! I don't have any of the flavours yet, but we sampled like 4 at the party. My favourite there was the Lady Layla tea and it was iced. So good!
